Adinda Thomas Difficulty Playing the Character of Widya in the Film 'KKN DI DESA PENARI', Must be Able to Speak Javanese Dialect and Play with Snakes

The story, which was once popular on Twitter, has finally been brought to the big screen with the same title. Adinda Thomas, one of the actors in this film, admitted to facing some difficulties during acting. 

In this film KKN DI DESA PENARI, this beautiful actress plays the main character named Widya.

"Playing the role of Widya. Actually, we are all college students who are going on KKN," said Adinda Thomas when met on the filming location of KKN DI DESA PENARI some time ago. 

1. Difficulty with Javanese Dialect

During the filming process, Adinda Thomas faced many difficulties, especially with the dialect. As known, this story takes place in a village in East Java. 

"The most difficult part is the dialect, because I am not a Javanese person, unlike Widya who is from Surabaya. The dialect has to be strong," she explained. 

However, despite the difficulties in trying to speak Javanese dialect, Adinda Thomas is very grateful to be filming with a crew who are from Surabaya. So, when she makes mistakes, there are many people who correct her. 

"Our acting coach is actually from Surabaya, so it's very helpful. There are also many Javanese people here. Mas Ipung, our DOP, is also from Surabaya, so he helps us on set. If the dialogue is not accurate, it can be corrected. Alhamdulillah, there are people looking out for us," she said.

2. Must Act with Snakes

Not only facing difficulties with dialect, as Widya, Adinda Thomas also has to act and play with snakes. Initially afraid of snakes, but with continuous practice, she admitted that she finally felt comfortable with the reptile. 

"The second thing is, I have several scenes with snakes. Alhamdulillah, MD gave me the opportunity to have a workshop first. So I could get some training first," she said.

"I was really scared, but eventually I became comfortable with the snake," she concluded.
