Ria Ricis Shines in 'MY GIRLFRIEND JINNY', Exciting Role and Challenges as a Single Mom

With a romantic comedy fiction genre, this series has become a highly anticipated show every Wednesday and Thursday. Its popularity is also attributed to the cast, one of whom is Ria Ricis, who plays a genie character named Krissy.

Ria Ricis expressed her gratitude for the positive response received by Pacarku Jinny. She said that the audience is very enthusiastic about waiting for the continuation of the story.

“Alhamdulillah, (the audience's response) is good, nothing is off. Everyone seems to like it, they are waiting for when it will air again. They can’t wait,” Ricis stated at MD Place Tower, Setiabudi area, Jakarta, Wednesday (22/1/2025).

Not only Ricis, but other cast members such as Anrez Adelio, Rebecca Klopper, and Imran Ismail also feel the high enthusiasm from the audience, which is evident on social media. Their presence has successfully brought a new color to the story produced by MD Entertainment.

In this series, Ricis plays the genie Krissy, a handmaiden to Princess Lila (Caitlin Halderman). Krissy's character is depicted as cheerful and full of antics. Ricis even joked about her character's ability to disappear in the fantasy world, but not being able to do so in the real world.

"My character is a bit over the top, a bit of a troublemaker, so I am Princess Lila's aide," Ricis explained. "I can disappear, but here (in the real world) I can't," she added jokingly.

Meanwhile, Anrez Adelio plays Andra, the main male character who has a cold personality due to a dysfunctional family background. Andra is portrayed as a man searching for happiness outside the home despite coming from a wealthy family.

“His character is very cold because his family background is not harmonious. He is actually very rich, but material wealth is not enough. So he seeks happiness outside. Even though he works hard, he is still looked down upon by his father,” Anrez explained.

Although busy as a content creator and YouTuber, Ricis remains serious about pursuing the world of acting. However, she admits that memorizing long dialogues is one of her biggest challenges.

“Fortunately, thank God, in this series my dialogues are very few, mostly just movements,” said Ricis.

2. Very Grateful

Teuku Ryan's ex-wife admitted to being grateful for the ease she was given in her role this time. With more movement compared to dialogue, she feels it helps her adjust amidst her busy schedule.

“So, with my very slow brain in memorizing long scripts, God has made it easier for me to just do more movement rather than reciting long scripts. So, nothing is difficult,” she added.
