Kapanlagi.com - TransJakarta officially changed the name of the Petukangan Utara Bus Stop to the Petukangan D'MASIV. The inauguration of this bus stop will take place on Monday (3/3/2025). Rian, the vocalist of D'MASIV, revealed that this idea has been around for a long time and has finally come to fruition.
"Actually, the dream has been there for a long time. But, the idea finally came together with TransJakarta about a month ago. Then we thought, we are going to be 22 years old, so we want to create something that will surprise people," said Rian at the D'MASIV Petukangan Bus Stop on Monday (3/3/2025).
According to him, the change of the bus stop name is a big surprise. Even before the official announcement, this news was already widely discussed.
"H-1 before the event, it was already viral everywhere, it was a sensation everywhere. Many people were asking us via WhatsApp, 'is it true, is it real?'. So we are very grateful that on D'MASIV's 22nd birthday, we can gift ourselves something very special," he said.
This stop has a deep meaning for D'MASIV because it is located in an area full of memories for them. Ciledug has witnessed the struggles of this band since the beginning of their career.
"For D'MASIV, Ciledug Raya Road has a story that we will never forget. Because we used to struggle from scratch on this road. There are several studios there that we used to practice in, especially the one in Petukangan," explained Rian.
Rian also emphasized that they are not ashamed to admit their origins from Ciledug. For him, many great talents are born from this area.
"We (us) are never ashamed to say we are from Ciledug, Ciledug Pride! Sometimes people are embarrassed to live in Ciledug and say they are from West Jakarta or South Jakarta. In fact, Ciledug holds many pearls that eventually become visible," he said.
