Richard Lee Detained, Detective Doctor Urges Suspect's Wife: Please Advise Your Husband!

"So for the suspect DRL, Doktif is sure you shouldn't handle a cellphone inside. But maybe later someone will tell his wife, brother DRE, please advise your husband, do not create content that corners Doktif again," said Samira Farahnaz when met at the Metro Jaya Police, South Jakarta, Friday (06/03/2026).

Doktif also touched on the allegations of extortion or requests for peace money that were previously thrown by the opposing party. He emphasized that all of that is a complete lie and never happened.

"In fact, he said that he never gave that peace money, all of it is a lie," he added firmly.

In addition to the suspect's wife, Doktif also pointed out the buzzers who have blindly defended Richard Lee all this time. He urged them to realize that defending falsehood is an unblessed act, especially if it has harmed many people.

"But Doktif this time please be aware, yes, be aware. Being a buzzer is an unlawful fortune, yes. Open your eyes and hearts, there are so many victims in Indonesian society, hundreds of billions have been taken, yes, and he is obliged to account for that, yes," said Doktif.

Doktif also highlighted Richard Lee's behavior, which he deemed to undermine the legal process. The suspect's absence in mandatory reporting became one of the points highlighted by Doktif as a form of uncooperativeness.

"So yesterday he was required to report on Monday and Thursday, but it turns out he did not do that, yes. So if Monday-Thursday, he probably only comes on Thursday. Or if not, the following week. So he undermines it and that might be one of the reasons he is currently detained. So he is uncooperative," he explained.

Richard Lee's legal efforts to file a special case at the National Police Headquarters have not escaped criticism from Doktif. He suspects that this move is merely a tactic to buy time and avoid responsibility.

"One more thing, he is doing what is called a special case at the National Police Headquarters. What does that mean? He is opposing the investigator. In the sense that although it is his right, in terms of pretrial he has already lost. Doktif suspects it is only to delay this process," Doktif concluded.
