On May 26, 2022, Eril, who is familiarly called, was reported missing while swimming in Switzerland. Until now, the search process for Eril is still ongoing.

According to information obtained, the search conducted by SAR and Swiss police teams had been going on for 6 hours (May 26 at 11:00 PM WIB).

"The chronology is that Eril was swimming in the Aaree River in Bern with his brother and friend. When he wanted to go up to the surface, Eril was dragged by the strong current of the river, which had previously received help from his friend. The incident occurred on May 26, 2022, in the afternoon Swiss time with clear weather," said Elpi.

In addition to the SAR team and police, the family was also assisted by the embassy in the search process. Of course, the family hopes that Eril can be found soon in good health.

"We thank the Indonesian embassy in Switzerland and the local police for their attention and assistance in finding Emmeril Khan Mumtadz," said Elpi.

During the incident, the family was also in Switzerland to accompany Eril who was looking for a school to continue his S2 studies. Meanwhile, Ridwan Kamil was known to be in England for government activities abroad with a delegation from the West Java Provincial Government. According to Elpi, Ridwan Kamil immediately went to Switzerland after receiving news of the tragedy and has now met with the family there.
