Rio Reifan Admits Using Drugs Again Due to Family Problems

Kapanlagi.com - Head of Public Relations of the Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus, revealed the reason why Rio Reifan started using drugs again after being caught four times for the same case. This time, Rio admitted to the investigators that there were family problems that led him to indulge in these illicit substances.

"This time the motive is family problems, that's his confession. In addition, he also feels a dependence on using these illicit substances," said Yusri at the Central Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday (21/4).

Nevertheless, investigators do not blindly accept the 36-year-old man's reasons. Investigators will continue to delve into the case based on Rio's confession when he stumbled upon a similar case since 2015.

"This person admitted in 2015 that he was influenced. In 2017, he was caught again for the same reason, which started with his dependency in 2019," he said.

"Now his confession is about family matters. But it's not a problem for us. Investigators will continue to delve into it," he added.

This is the fourth time Rio Reifan has been apprehended by the police for drug abuse cases. The soap opera actor from 'Tukang Bubur Naik Haji' was first arrested in 2015, and at that time, he consumed drugs due to the influence of his environment.

After serving his prison sentence, the former husband of Henny Mona was arrested again for the same case in 2017. Rio was once again arrested in 2019 and was released from prison in June 2020. The latest arrest of Rio Reifan took place at his parents' residence in the Otista area, East Jakarta, on Monday (19/4) along with his friend with the initials SA, who was using methamphetamine at the time.
