Ramzi, a celebrity also known as a presenter, is further extending the list of public figures entering the political arena. Recently, he officially registered as a candidate for Deputy Regent of Cianjur for the 2024 Regional Election, accompanying Muhammad Wahyu as the candidate for Regent.
Ramzi stated that he has indeed been prepared to enter the 2024 Regional Election after previously participating in the Legislative Election contest.
"From the end of the Legislative Election to the Regional Election a few months ago, I have indeed been prepared to run in the Regional Election. There were several places proposed in West Java," said Ramzi at the East Jakarta District Court, Thursday (29/8/2024).
After considering various options, Ramzi finally decided to run in the Cianjur Regional Election. On August 28, 2024, he officially registered with the Regional General Election Commission (KPUD) of Cianjur Regency.
"I finally decided to take the one in Cianjur Regency. Yesterday, on the 28th, we registered with the KPUD," said Ramzi.
Ramzi also explained the reason for choosing Cianjur as his battleground in the 2024 Regional Election. According to him, the chemistry that developed with his partner, Muhammad Wahyu, was the main factor in this decision.
"It's like we are candidates for regent and deputy regent, which is like a couple. So, the match isn't always with each other. Likewise, Doctor Wahyu, who will be the regent candidate, has also studied about me. To find that chemistry," explained Ramzi.
In addition, Ramzi stated that his arrival at the East Jakarta District Court was to complete the administrative documents for his candidacy. Although some documents are still incomplete, the KPUD has accepted his registration as a candidate for Deputy Regent of Cianjur.
"So now it has to be prepared. The registration is accepted, all the documents have been submitted. Suggestions for the registration of the regent and deputy regent candidates. However, there are indeed some documents that are still incomplete. It turns out that from the East Jakarta District Court there are some documents that I have not prepared," Ramzi revealed.
Ramzi also expressed his plan to depart for Cianjur on Saturday, August 30, 2024, to continue the process of his candidacy. One of his important agendas is to undergo a health examination in Bandung.
"Tomorrow, God willing, on the 30th I have to leave for Cianjur again, to proceed to Bandung for the health check of the candidates for regent and vice regent," concluded Ramzi.
