However, there is a sad story behind the figure of Edwin Super Bejo. When the Covid-19 pandemic began to enter Indonesia, Edwin had to reluctantly close his four restaurant businesses.

One of the things that made Edwin feel heavy is when his restaurant business, which serves Acehnese specialties, was about to open. However, when everything was ready, his restaurant had to close due to the pandemic.

Edwin Super Bejo was about to open a new culinary business. Unfortunately, the Covid-19 virus outbreak struck and forced Edwin to close his business.

"I was caught off guard by the pandemic. I opened several stalls before the pandemic because I didn't know that it would be a complete pandemic, with employees and all," Edwin said in the SCBD area, South Jakarta, recently.

"During the pandemic, the stalls were still equipped with ingredients, plates, and lights, but there were no employees and no customers. Eventually, I had to close everything and shut down," Edwin added.

At that time, Edwin did not calculate the exact total losses due to the cancellation of four businesses that had to be closed simultaneously. However, Edwin had sold some of his land assets to pay his employees.

"I didn't calculate it anymore because I had sold some of my land to cover everything. Because the workers had to go back home and all," he said.

2. Edwin Still Trying to Rise

Being down is definitely felt by Edwin at that time. However, he still tries his luck again by starting a culinary business that he is now building not alone. 

"If it's a business, it should be a collaboration, so look for someone who is skilled and quite settled with their knowledge. If not, the business will surely drop because there are no friends to discuss with, so if possible, collaborate in business," Edwin concluded.
