Sahila Hisyam Reveals Why She Is Now More Focused on 'Muscle Saving' at the Gym

Fans who follow Sahila Hisyam on social media may have noticed a change in her workout routine. Known as a celebrity who loves running, she has recently been seen participating less in running events and outdoor activities.

This has raised the question, has Sahila started to leave her running hobby behind? When asked, the 33-year-old woman firmly denied this assumption. She admitted that she still runs regularly, but now she does it more often indoors.

"Actually, if I run, I still run two or three times a week, but I haven't been going out much, doing outdoor runs, and I rarely participate in running events," she said when met in the Kebayoran area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (14/10/2025).

Upon investigation, this change in routine is not without reason. It turns out Sahila is on a special mission in her fitness program. For the past year, she has intentionally shifted her focus from cardio to weight training at the gym.

The goal is to build and strengthen her muscle mass, something she feels has been neglected due to her intense focus on long-distance running.

"Because for the past year, I've been focusing on the gym. I'm really trying to build muscle, since I was previously focused on cardio, cardio, cardio," she explained.

His decision to "build muscle" is a long-term strategy. He does not intend to retire from the world of running. On the contrary, he is preparing a stronger body foundation to conquer marathon events in the future.

"After that, my plan is to possibly participate in another marathon," he asserted.

Although he is currently focused on the gym, Sahila will still participate in the upcoming Women Running event for the 10K category. He admits that his preparation is going smoothly with a running routine on the treadmill after weight training.

In addition, he also remains disciplined in maintaining a healthy diet and ensuring he gets enough sleep.
