Sarwendah does not remain silent while her child, Thalia, becomes a target of bullying and defamation on social media. For her, legal action is the only way to provide a sense of security to her child who is starting to realize the negative news out there.

Sarwendah acknowledges that even though she has limited social media usage for her children, information from outside can sometimes be hard to contain. Therefore, she wants to show a firm stance so that her child knows that her mother is always ready to defend her.

"I give her understanding as well, and of course the reason I can be here is because I want my child to know that no matter what, I will always defend my child and I will present the true facts," said Sarwendah.

Regarding Thalia's mental condition, Sarwendah tries to provide explanations slowly without having to reveal all the brutality of the news out there. She strives to be the main protector of the information her child receives daily.

"Yes, I am very protective. Explaining slowly and of course she always talks about whatever news she gets. Because in my opinion, at her age, she is not yet old enough for me to explain the very cruel news out there," explained Sarwendah.

Christ Sam Siwu, as the legal representative, also reminded social media users to be more wise in commenting. He emphasized that any form of defamation concerning children will be taken seriously through legal channels.

"What we want to convey to all parties is, do not spread hoaxes anymore, do not commit defamation through social media or any platforms like TikTok or YouTube. We will report that, especially those related to children," emphasized Christ Sam Siwu.

Sarwendah also admitted feeling relieved after giving a statement to the police, although she felt a bit nervous. For her, the exhaustion from being continuously defamed must end with real action.

"Yes, I'm happy, but honestly this is my first time here, so I was quite nervous actually. But for the sake of the children, anything. And it gets tiring if it keeps being talked about. So it seems there needs to be real action so that the hoaxes do not continue to spread," concluded Sarwendah.
