Sarwendah's Legal Counsel Denies Allegations of Making It Difficult for Ruben Onsu to Meet Their Child

"So why are we clarifying? Because it has been very disruptive to our client. What is disruptive? What is disruptive is what has been conveyed by RO through his legal counsel, much of which is incorrect, even misleading. Why? Because it does not align with the facts that occurred," said Chris Sam Siwu when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Saturday (30/5/2026).

The most discussed issue is the allegation that Sarwendah makes it difficult for Ruben to meet their children. The legal team denied the accusation and stated that there has never been a prohibition for Ruben to maintain a relationship with his children.

Chris explained that the divorce agreement actually provides ample opportunity for both parents to communicate with their child. Therefore, he is surprised if there are claims of restrictions.

"We need to clarify that the initial draft of the agreement does not discuss the time for meeting the child 2 to 3 days a week as stated by RO through his legal representative," Chris explained.

According to him, communication is the key to managing the meeting schedule of children who now have various educational activities and additional events. He believes that this issue should be discussed directly by both parents.

"The question is, there was a lot of noise in the media yesterday about it being made difficult, where is the evidence of that difficulty? Secondly, can you show that RO ever asked via WhatsApp to our client?" he asserted.

The Sarwendah side also emphasized that their client has never obstructed Ruben from meeting the children. They stated that there has never been an official request made to Sarwendah regarding that meeting.

"Because our client firmly states to us that they have never closed a single day for the father to take their child. But has the father ever come to the house to ask or WhatsApp to mother Wendah? Never happened," Chris revealed.
