Young singer Shanna Shannon was once again entrusted to perform the song Tanah Airku at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK). The 19-year-old girl performed the sacred song during the Indonesian national team match in the FIFA Series 2026.
In this match, there was an unusual and rare sight. While usually the song Tanah Airku is only played as a ritual after the match, this time the audience at SUGBK was treated to a song played at the beginning of the match.
As Shanna Shannon sang the song Tanah Airku, the supporters present at SUGBK also sang along.
The main stadium lights were dimmed, showcasing a beautiful light display that delighted the eyes of the supporters present at the stadium.
"Always proud and moved to be able to sing together with one stadium the song Tanah Airku at the FIFA Series," wrote Shanna in the caption of her post.
The girl, born in Jakarta on April 4, 2006, has been involved in the music world since she was young. Her career began with a cover song of Indonesia Pusaka posted on YouTube in 2015.
In 2017, Anies Baswedan, who was still the Governor of DKI Jakarta at the time, appointed Shanna Shannon as the Ambassador of the Indonesian National Anthem during the Kirab Kebangsaan event.
Regarding the song Tanah Airku, the legendary work of Ibu Sud, it has become like a second national anthem, touching, full of nationalism, and makes everyone grateful to be part of this country.
