Sirajuddin Reveals the Reason for Marrying Zaskia Gotik Religiously First, to Avoid Slander

After keeping silent for several days, the newlyweds finally spoke up. Apparently, there is a reason behind their seemingly rushed marriage.

"We see that the situation with COVID-19 is uncertain, and there is also government guidance regarding the ban on homecoming and the absence of Eid prayers. We don't want to take risks and we also don't want negative statements or opinions to develop outside. Our main goal is to avoid slander, so we had to get married religiously first," explained Sirajuddin as quoted from a clarification video for the media.

Zaskia Gotik and Sirajuddin Mahmud are asking for understanding from various parties not to have negative opinions about their marriage. Because by getting married, they are actually trying to distance themselves from those things.

"Why did we decide to get married religiously? Because we prioritize what is important and we don't want many negative opinions about us to spread. That's why we decided to get married immediately so that this relationship can last and we can have children soon. Once again, both of us ask for your understanding to comprehend and understand the situation that we have experienced from the past until today," Sirajuddin emphasized.

2. Not the Right Time to Talk

Zaskia Gotik and Sirajuddin explain that they have no intention of hiding their happy news. It's just that it's not the right time to announce it in order to reduce unwanted possibilities.

"We're not trying to hide our happiness. But the situation and conditions do not allow us to share it at the beginning, we're afraid that there might be something that hinders the process we're doing. We're trying to ensure that our good intentions are not obstructed by something bad," added Sirajuddin.

3. Can Get Married Immediately by the State

A religious marriage will become a secret marriage if not legalized by the state within 60 days since the event took place. Therefore, if there are no obstacles, Zaskia and Sirajuddin will get married by the state soon.

"Hopefully, before 60 days after the marriage ceremony yesterday, we can obtain the process by the state to make it valid," said the handsome businessman who has one child.
