Slank Does Not Involve Former Members in the 41st Anniversary Concert, Bimbim: Let's Wait a Bit

Kapanlagi.com - The music group Slank will hold its 41st birthday concert on January 4, 2025, at Jiexpo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. In this concert, the band consisting of Bimbim, Kaka, Ivan, Ridho, and Abdee carries the theme "Pasar Malam Empat Satoe".

The vocalist of Slank, Kaka, revealed the reason for choosing the theme Pasar Malam Empat Satoe for their concert. According to him, night markets can be enjoyed by all layers of society, whether old, young, or children. Through this theme, Kaka hopes that Slank's birthday concert can be enjoyed by all age groups.

"It's a concert event but enjoyed by many groups, many age segments, yes, a night market," said Kaka at a recent press conference.

"Night markets can have all ages, men, women, old, young, they can all be there. Because besides being able to watch the concert, mothers and small children can also stroll around the night market," Kaka added.

1. Not Inviting Former Members

On that occasion, Slank also answered a question that often arises from their fans every time they hold a birthday celebration concert. Every time Slank holds a birthday concert, fans usually question the presence of their former members, namely Bongki, Indra, and Pay.

"Haha, I don't know yet. So far, it hasn't been included in the concept. But the concept is indeed intended to be different from the previous night market 41, it wants to be different from what has been done before," said Kaka.

"The sound is fresher, more lively. Our music is very basic Slank, there are guitar, drum, and piano sounds. We want this 41 concert to be more lively," he added.

2. Consider Formasi 13

Nevertheless, Kaka mentioned that the idea of holding a concert with his former members, Bongki, Indra, and Pay — known as Formasi 13 — will still be considered.

"But the idea (of a reunion) is being kept in mind, haha," Kaka said with a laugh.

Then, Bimbim even added that a concert with former members might be held on another occasion, with a different theme.

"Maybe a different theme next time, first a little bit, a little bit," said Bimbim.
