Spreaders of Gisel's Explicit Video with Nobu Sentenced to Nine Months in Prison and Fined 50 Million

Kapanlagi.com - The perpetrators of spreading the explicit video of artist Gisella Anastasia with Michael Yukinobu de Fretes, MN, and PP were sentenced to nine months in prison by the panel of judges of the South Jakarta District Court. Not only that, MN and PP were also fined Rp 50 million or three months of imprisonment.

"After reading the counterplea, the verdict was immediately given. Your client was sentenced to nine months in prison plus a fine of 50 million or three months of imprisonment," said Andreas Nahot Silitonga, MN's legal counsel in Pancoran, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (13/7).

1. Will Be Free in One Month

Currently, MN and PP have been serving their sentence for eight months. That means, both of them will be released in one month from now.

"The eight-month implementation will be carried out once it has legal force, and later our client can choose whether to pay a fine of Rp 50 million or have it replaced with an additional three months," he said.

"We are very pessimistic, our client comes from a very humble family, so they have prepared themselves to undergo a transfer for 12 months. On one hand, we haven't had a conversation with the client yet because it is very limited due to the current pandemic situation," he continued.

2. Lower Than the Prosecutor's Demand

For Andreas Nahot, the judge's decision regarding his client is considered good. This is because the sentence for MN and PP is lower than the demand of the Public Prosecutor (JPU), which is one year in prison.

"But in our view, it is already very good, meaning that the demand given by the prosecutor was 10 years, and the initial criminal threat was 12 years, so it has significantly reduced from the indictment," he said.

3. Kesempatan Banding

With the verdict, MN and PP have the opportunity to file a legal appeal or accept the verdict within a period of seven days.

"In the near future, because we are given seven days to think, determine our stance whether to appeal or accept," Andreas Nahot concluded.
