Star in 'REACHER' Season 4, Anggun C Sasmi Trained by Cyril Benzaquen the World Kickboxing Champion - Admits to Suffering

Agnez Mo and Anggun C Sasmi recently announced their participation as cast members in the REACHER Season 4. Anggun expressed her enthusiasm for joining the series.

Anggun also added that while she continues her career as a singer, she feels that the experience of appearing in a series like CANNES CONFIDENTIAL and now REACHER is a step out of her comfort zone that gives her new energy as an artist. Here are the details.

"I am very happy to announce that I will be joining the cast of REACHER Season 4!" wrote Anggun C Sasmi on her Instagram.

Not only is she happy, but Anggun is also fully committed to acting. She is not holding back, training physically under the guidance of Cyril Benzaquen, a seven-time world kickboxing champion.

"I was confirmed a few months ago by the production team for the role of AMISHA in REACHER. This will be a role that heavily relies on physicality," said Anggun as reported by Liputan6.com.

"I never expected that Cyril Benzaquen, who is preparing to win his seventh world title, would have time to spare for a beginner like me. But the Hollywood magic worked, and he accepted it!" added Anggun.

Furthermore, Anggun does not hide how much she suffered during training. Especially since the character she portrays is very much the opposite of herself.

"My role is very much the opposite of who I am. This role is very physically demanding and I have to spend hours training when I usually don't do any sports," she revealed.

"Cyril Benzaquen, despite being a world champion, is very patient and kind. The last time I exercised was three years ago for the Dancing with the Stars event in France, which I participated in, so I have to do some preparation for REACHER," Anggun continued.

"Physically I am exhausted, but mentally I have to be at my best, because the audience is not ready to see me in this role," he concluded.
