Starting from Incompatibility, Sarwendah's Lawyer Reveals Reasons for Divorce from Ruben Onsu

Kapanlagi.com - Sarwendah's lawyer, Chris Sam Siwu, finally spoke out about the main cause of the divorce between Sarwendah and Ruben Onsu. In his statement, Chris explained that the biggest reason for this divorce is incompatibility.

"Look, before this lawsuit was filed, we indeed communicated a lot with the client. What is the real problem? Is it something that needs to be settled physically or through stubborn arguments? It turns out that during our communication, it wasn't necessary. So we believe this can be handled smoothly," said Chris Sam Siwu in the Ampera area, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (24/9/2024).

Chris emphasized that both Sarwendah and Ruben Onsu agreed not to undermine each other during the divorce process. They both focus on the welfare of their children, which is the primary priority in facing this separation.

"In the end, they also do not undermine each other. Because we believe their focus during this process is on their children. The issue of incompatibility is the biggest reason that was revealed in court," he explained.

Incompatibility has become the biggest reason presented in the trial. According to Chris, differing views on various matters, such as priorities in household life, have been the main cause of their relationship's breakdown.

"The reason is incompatibility. What Bang Minola (Ruben Onsu's attorney) mentioned earlier is also true. There are differences in perspective regarding what should take precedence and what should not. It is indeed a process, and it all started from incompatibility," he said.

This incompatibility turns out to be not something new. According to Chris, this issue has existed since the beginning of their marriage and has continued until it reached a peak, which made it impossible for them to maintain their household.

2. Ruben's Reason for Filing the Lawsuit

Many are wondering why Ruben Onsu is the one filing for divorce, not Sarwendah. Chris explained that Sarwendah chose not to file the lawsuit in order to maintain her husband's dignity at that time.

"Why is Ruben the one suing, why isn't our client the one suing. Our client honestly just wants to focus on taking care of the children first. Secondly, our client also does not want to undermine her husband's dignity at that time, so because her husband is the one who married her, he is also the one who must file for divorce," he stated.

Chris also emphasized that even though they are getting divorced, the relationship between Ruben and Sarwendah remains good. There is no animosity between them, and they both respect each other.

"Actually, our client could be selfish and just file the lawsuit herself, but she maintains her husband's dignity at that time," he said.

"Let it just run its course, thank God it is going well now, thank God there is no mutual downfall because we, as Ruben's legal representatives, are also good people, and Sarwendah is also a good person," he concluded.
