Success with RANS Cilegon FC, Raffi Ahmad is Now Ready to Achieve in IBL with RANS PIK Basketball

Kapanlagi.com - After successfully bringing his football team into Liga 1, Raffi Ahmad is now focusing on developing his basketball team, RANS PIK Basketball. Even now, Raffi says that his basketball team is ready to compete in the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL), which is planned to be held on January 15, 2022.

When met in the GBK Senayan area, South Jakarta, on Monday night, January 3, the husband of Nagita Slavina mentioned that since Liga 2 has ended, it's time to shift focus to advancing his basketball team. Of course, in order to achieve success in the IBL, he has prepared foreign players to strengthen his team.

"We are definitely ready for the IBL. Now Rans PIK Basketball is focused on facing the upcoming IBL," said Raffi Ahmad.

"There are already two foreign players from America, because we are allowed to use foreign players who have been quarantined for basketball," he added.

1. Returning Focus with RANS Cilegon in Mid-2022

In addition, Raffi Ahmad also said that the IBL competition will end in June 2022. After that, he will refocus on preparing RANS Cilegon FC for the Liga 1.

"So we have already concentrated on basketball and also football," said this father of two children.

When met at GBK, Senayan, South Jakarta, on Monday night (3/1), Raffi Ahmad said that his team's success is beyond expectations. He even admitted that he did not target his team to be promoted to Liga 1.

"This is also beyond expectations, Alhamdulillah. Our plan was to improve teamwork and others," said Raffi Ahmad.

3. Faster Than the Initial Target

Raffi Ahmad also said that the initial target of RANS Cilegon FC to qualify for Liga 1 was in the second or third year after he took over the club. Therefore, when RANS Cilegon FC successfully qualified for the final match of Liga 2, he and his family were very happy with this achievement.

"Actually, the target was in the second or third year but Alhamdulillah, Allah has given us this blessing," he said.

4. Still Satisfied Despite Defeat in the Final

In addition, it is known that RANS Cilegon FC had to suffer defeat in the final match of Liga 2 against Persis Solo with a score of 2-1. Although they came out as the Runner Up, Raffi Ahmad is still grateful because he did not set a champion target and he is very satisfied because his team successfully qualified for Liga 1.
