Suffering from Diabetes for 20 Years, Legendary Singer Ivo Nilakreshna Passes Away After Experiencing Complications from His Illness

Kapanlagi.com - Astri Ivo's mother, who is the legendary singer Ivo Nilakreshna, was buried in Tanah Kusir Cemetery, South Jakarta, on Saturday (21/5) morning. Of course, the deep sorrow is still felt by the family and closest people who were left behind.

When met after the funeral procession, Astri Ivo mentioned that her mother passed away at the age of 83 due to complications. However, Astri revealed that her mother's departure seemed easy.

"My mother had diabetes for the last 20 years, so she had to manage her diet, and in the last few years, there was a blockage in her leg. This caused problems throughout her body's system, complications," said Astri Ivo.

"But yesterday, Alhamdulillah, her passing was so easy, so beautiful, and hopefully, we can pray that our return will be as easy too," she continued.

1. Family Gathering Accompanies the Late Mother

Astri also said that before Ivo Nilakreshna's departure, the whole family had gathered. According to her, this had made their late mother happy in her final moments.

"Thank God we gathered last week. My younger siblings were in Paris and other cities, but Allah made it easy for us to gather before our mother passed away. Mama had seen everyone, and she was happiest when she was surrounded by her children," she said.

2. Astri Admits Relief

As a child, Astri admitted feeling a little relieved that she and her entire family were able to attend and accompany their mother's body to her final resting place.

"Thank God, all of Mama's children were able to come home yesterday, including her grandchildren, to accompany their grandmother, my mother, her younger siblings, and older siblings on their journey home," she said.
