Sukatani Gives Their Latest News, Refuses to Be a Police Ambassador and Confirms Twister Angel Was Unilaterally Fired as a Teacher

Sukatani Band is back in the spotlight. This comes after they made a statement on social media on Saturday afternoon (1/3/2025). This time regarding their latest news after posting an apology for the lyrics of the song Bayar Bayar Bayar.

This time Sukatani explains various things they have experienced after apologizing to the police. Here are some statements from Sukatani!

Sukatani admitted that the effects of the song 'Bayar Bayar Bayar' have caused them losses both materially and immaterially. They ultimately apologized due to continuous pressure and intimidation from the police. Sukatani even mentioned that the incidents have been happening repeatedly since July 2024.

One of the members of Sukatani, Twister Angel alias Novi Citra Indriyati, is known to have been fired as a teacher after apologizing on social media. As a result, Twister Angel received many job offers, including becoming a Police Ambassador from the Chief of Police, but that last offer was firmly rejected.

Sukatani also confirmed that Twister Angel was indeed unilaterally dismissed by the Foundation where she taught, on the grounds that 'Twister Angel is one of the members of Sukatani Punk Band'.

Twister Angel was not given any opportunity to provide an explanation before being fired. The dismissal letter also did not clarify whether being a member of Sukatani constituted a serious violation warranting unilateral dismissal.

Next, Sukatani discusses their performance in Slawi, Tegal. They continue to perform as a way to honor the contract that was agreed upon long before the song 'Bayar Bayar Bayar' became a controversy.
