After the death of their parents in a plane accident, two siblings named Ryuuichi Kashima (a first-year high school student) and Kotarou become orphans and have no place to live.

The head of Morinomiya Academy offers to take care of them, providing them with a place to live and exempting their school fees with one condition. The condition is that Ryuuichi must help out in the Morinomiya daycare room while attending school as usual.

1. Ryuuichi Kashima

The older brother who has a very close relationship with his younger brother, Kotarou. After their parents died in a plane accident, Kotarou and Ryuuichi live with their new school Principal and his Assistant.

2. Hayato Kamitani

A tough and slightly rough-mannered student, he is a third-year student and Ryuuichi's classmate. He is Taka's older brother. He is also a member of the baseball team.

4. Yoshihito Usaida

A graduate of Morinomiya Academy and currently works as a staff member in the Morinomiya daycare room.

1.Kotarou Kashima

Ryuuichi's younger brother. He doesn't talk much and loves books. He is very attached to (and protective of) his brother. He is caring and attentive to the babies and seems to act as the peacekeeper in the baby room.

2.Taka Kamitani

Taka is very talkative. He is close friends with Kotarou and friendly to all the other children at the daycare. He enjoys playing the hero and often cries because his older brother (Hayato) hits him, sometimes calling him "Baka Aniki" (stupid brother).

3.Kirin Kumatsuka

One of the children raised in the Morinomiya daycare club. Kirin is a talkative and always enthusiastic child.

4.Kazuma & Takuma Mamizuka

The twins who have very different personalities. Takuma is always cheerful and enthusiastic, while Kazuma is very shy.

5.Midori Sawatari

She is the only "baby" among the children in the daycare, usually carried by Usaida.
