Tarra Budiman's Story: No Longer Neglecting the 5 Daily Prayers After Umrah, Discovering Many Wonders in the Holy Land

Tarra Budiman recently completed his first umrah with his wife, Gya Sadiqah. After returning from the Holy Land, the 38-year-old actor revealed how umrah brought significant changes in his life, especially in terms of spirituality and daily worship.

The experience of worshiping in Mecca and Medina left a deep impression on Tarra. He realized that worshiping in Indonesia should be easier to carry out. Check out the full story below!

“When we are there (in the Holy Land), the only activity is worship. Previously, my worship was still inconsistent. Now it’s like, ‘No, Tar, how long does it take to pray anyway?’” said Tarra when met in the Ragunan area of South Jakarta recently.

“During umrah, we can come an hour before the call to prayer to pray. So now if we are here, is it really that we don’t want to pray for just half an hour?” said this father of two.

After returning from umrah, Tarra is committed to not missing prayers anymore. He now tries to perform wudhu every time he hears the call to prayer and invites his two children, Kalea and Kayma, to pray together.

In addition to his worship routine, Tarra also feels that this change has affected his speech. He is more careful when speaking and tries to keep improving himself.

“There are many (changes that have occurred). Starting from my words. But again, I’m just a human who makes a lot of mistakes,” he stated.

Tarra also expressed her hope to return to the Holy Land one day. This time, she wants to take her two children so they can see the Ka'bah in person.   “There were many (miracles felt during the umrah). That’s what makes me confident, hopefully we can return again,” she concluded.
