Teuku Wisnu Provides Beneficial Entertainment for Indonesian Children

Kapanlagi.com - Teuku Wisnu has made a new breakthrough in the world of children. Together with Arie Untung and others, the husband of Shireen Sungkar has created a web series that contains educational content.

One of the reasons they worked on the animation titled Riko The Series is because they are concerned about the negative influence of children's entertainment. They want to provide beneficial entertainment for Indonesian children.

"It seems that animation is the easiest thing to transfer to children. For us, it is very difficult to eliminate (non-educational content). When we are afraid that our children will watch shows that are not beneficial, we provide shows that are beneficial," said Teuku Wisnu during a press conference for the animated web series Riko The Series, in the Kebayoran Baru area, South Jakarta, not long ago.

1. Involve 40 People

What makes it head-scratching, the process of making animation is very different from making movies or soap operas, where one episode takes up to 3 months and involves about 40 people.

"It really has to be detailed and meticulous when you want to change something or revise. So read the script, then go to the scene, well, that can't be changed anymore," said Teuku Wisnu.

2. Embed Religious Knowledge

In Riko The Serious, Teuku Wisnu also embeds a lot of knowledge about religion. Of course, he wants those who watch to be able to get useful knowledge about religion, technology, and history.

"We hope our children will love science and the Quran. Sometimes we insert sirahs, relevant histories with the storyline, scientists in the Abbasid dynasty or whatever, so it's still very relevant," Teuku Wisnu concluded.
