Gempita Nora Marten, the daughter of artist Gading Marten and Gisella Anastasia, has just released her debut single titled Ajaib. This song was created by Yura Yunita together with her husband, Donne Maula.
This collaboration produced a work that not only highlights the typical joy of children but also brings Gempi closer to the music world she loves.
Yura Yunita shared the interesting stories behind the making of this song, especially with Gempi's funny antics. During the recording process, Gempi asked for breaks to eat several times.
"Kak Yura, are we going to repeat this again?" "Yes, if we can repeat it." "I'm hungry." Wow, we have to wait, huh? What did we eat back then? Fried chicken," said Yura, then laughed during the press conference for the release of the song "Ajaib" in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (13/11/2024).
"Yes, fried chicken," Gempi chimed in. Not only fried chicken, it turns out Gempi also had nuggets at that time. However, Gempi herself didn't want to eat the nuggets. This moment made Yura enjoy the recording process even more with the innocent and cheerful Gempi.
"Basically, I want chicken. I don't want to sing anymore, I want chicken.' After the chicken arrived, 'Come on, sing again, sing again,'" said Yura.
Yura has a special reason for writing this song. She wants to create a work that can be enjoyed by Indonesian children, and Gempi's cheerfulness is the main inspiration.
"Initially, because we are one Indonesia and really love Gempi, it all feels like magic," said Yura. According to her, Gempi brings a positive energy that touches many hearts.
As a mother, Gisel fully supports Gempi's interest in music. She feels that Gempi has shown artistic talent since childhood. According to Gisel, Gempi's interest in music began to emerge at the age of three.
"As parents, we definitely support what our child likes. Yes, the mom can sing, the dad can too, the artistic blood is already visible from the start," Gisel explained.
