The divorce hearing between Asri Welas and Galiech Ridha Rahardja has been postponed again. The hearing, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at the Depok Religious Court in West Java, could not proceed as planned. Here are the details.
Asri Welas's lawyer, Sifra Panggabean, revealed that the agenda for evidence presentation and witness examination has been postponed until next week. This postponement was announced directly at the court location.
"Today's agenda was for evidence presentation and witness examination, but it has been postponed to December 31, 2024," said Sifra Panggabean when met at the Depok Religious Court on Tuesday (12/24/2024).
The main reason for this postponement is the health condition of the chief judge presiding over the trial. The absence of the judge necessitates rescheduling the trial process.
"That is because the presiding chief judge is unwell," explained Sifra Panggabean.
Although today’s hearing agenda is postponed, both Asri Welas, represented by her attorney, and Galiech Ridha Rahardja attended the Depok Religious Court. Their presence demonstrates seriousness in undergoing this legal process.
In the next hearing, each party will be asked to present two witnesses for the evidentiary agenda. These witnesses will later provide statements regarding the divorce case.
