“If the illness has been long, we have known for a year. Then, she has been in and out of the hospital intensively since October last year, there were some complications, moving from one hospital to another, so, yes, this is how it is,” said Peco when met at the funeral home in Pejaten, South Jakarta, Tuesday (27/5/2025).

According to Peco, a day before her passing, his wife had requested to go home from the hospital. However, the next morning, Irianti's condition suddenly deteriorated drastically. “Actually, just yesterday afternoon she had been discharged from the hospital asking to go home, but in the morning she was no longer strong, we immediately took her to the ER. Well, earlier this afternoon at 14:14,” he continued.

The initial symptoms of the disease began to be felt since mid-2024. However, intensive medical treatment only started a few months later."If we consider the first symptoms, or the symptoms detected in mid-2024, that means it has been over a year, about 1.5 years. Let's say 1 year," he explained.
