His lawyer, Fahmi Bachmid, revealed that continuous disputes and principled issues were the main causes. Fahmi explained that a household cannot function if only one party is fighting. According to him, marriage should be based on the principle of giving and receiving.
"Yes, the people are no longer compatible, there are continuous disputes, and there are principled issues that can no longer be reconciled. A household cannot be one-sided; it must be take and give, giving and receiving," Fahmi said on Tuesday (12/8/2025).
When one party feels that it is no longer possible to maintain the integrity of the household, divorce becomes a legally justified solution. Fahmi emphasized that his client's desire to separate must be respected as part of a legitimate legal process.
"But if one party has stated that it is impossible to reunite, to maintain the integrity of the household, then it must end in divorce. And this is not something that violates the law because it is legally justified," he said.
Andre himself has even expressed his desire directly in front of the panel of judges very firmly. This shows how resolute he is in ending the marriage.
"So, if someone states, 'Your Honor, I want a divorce', respect this legal process. Because Andre has repeatedly stated in court, 'I want a divorce, Your Honor, I want nothing but a divorce'," he explained.
The legal counsel also dismissed the notion that his client's household was fine. According to him, if a couple has reached the court, it is evidence of a very serious problem.
"There is nothing harmonious; if it were harmonious, they wouldn't be in court. Legal logic is important so that we are wise. When legal logic is not applied, it becomes chaotic. If someone has filed in court, it means there is a serious issue within that household," he asserted.
