Horror and Emotion Unite at the Gala Premiere of 'CALL FROM THE GRAVE'

A festive night full of sparkle enveloped the gala premiere of the film CALL FROM THE GRAVE held by Malam Mencekam and Maxima Pictures. Behind the luxury of the event, a mystical atmosphere slowly crept in, as if signaling that the story presented on screen would not only be mere entertainment but would also haunt the audience's minds starting August 14, 2025.

This event was attended by the cast, director, producer, and executive producer. Guests were welcomed with dark-themed decorations, silence, and an unsettling feeling, in line with the eerie atmosphere that is the main spirit of the film. Not just a red carpet, every corner of the venue seemed to be a door to another world ready to test one's courage.

"This gala premiere is lively, but the film is the opposite: quiet, eerie, and emotional. I want the audience to feel that loss can be a door that connects us to something we do not understand. In the end, let the audience decide whether they are ready to accept that call," he said.

For Nirina Zubir, who plays the character Alya, this film is not just about fear. "In this film, I play as a mother who loses her child. It's not just horror that I feel, but also an incredible pain. So, audiences shouldn't be surprised if this film scares them while also making their hearts ache," she expressed seriously.

Nugie, who plays Raka, emphasizes that the horror in this film has a deeper dimension. "This is not just a horror that relies on ghosts. There is a lingering sense of loss, and that makes everything scarier. Because when that feeling arises, you will start to hear calls from the grave," he added.

Extreme experiences were also felt by Firzanah Alya while playing the character Yasmin. "The most difficult scene was when I had to lie in a morgue, wrapped in a cloth, and hold my breath. I did that myself without a stunt double. It felt cold, silent, and terrifying. Even my parents who watched the shooting cried," she recounted.
