According to Endiarto, the initial idea for this film emerged right after the celebration of Indonesia's Independence Day in August 2024. Since then, his team has been designing the concept and looking for ways to realize a film that can color the celebration on August 17.
"So we started production, I mentioned it after August last year. So around September, but August was like this? It's the same as before. Then we started to hear whispers, 'Ah, we have to color this, inspiration, what should we trigger?' Well, it has to be a film, because there’s nothing else," said Endiarto when met in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, Tuesday (12/8/2025).
He explained that after the digital animation concept was chosen, the team began to seek out creators who were willing to get involved. This process was not easy, as from the outset this project was announced as a "thank you project" without payment, which led many creators from various cities to ultimately decide to withdraw.
"If it's theater or something, there are definitely workshops. But there hasn’t been a film yet, right? Like that, but high cost. So we started, we had ideas like this, and finally our choice formed into animation because of the digital era, and then we didn’t involve many people. Why? Because not everyone wants to be involved in a project that is, what did you call it, a thank you project," he explained.
After a solid team was formed, the core production process finally began. Endiarto revealed that the post-production phase, which includes the process of generating and uniting all elements, only started in May 2025. This process ran intensively for three months until it was finally completed in July.
"Starting in May, we began post-production. Yes, of course. All these characters are finished, we just need to generate and stitch them together. That started in May, June, July, and was completed. So, the film that was circulating was made in one month, that is, the post-production started in May, June, July, August," he revealed.
