The Long Journey of Brian and Ranty Maria's Love Until They Were Paired in 'SEHARUM CINTA MELATI'

"Actually, the first time we shot together was in that film, a long time ago, right? 2017, right?" said Ranty, which was then responded to by Cinta, "2017 or 2018, right?" said Cinta Brian in a virtual interview on Thursday (17/7/2025).

After the film project, fate brought them together again in a religious soap opera title a few years ago. The project titled Ijabah Cinta became a bridge before they were finally paired again as the main cast.   "Well, after that we shot Ijabah again. Ijabah Cinta also had us together," explained Ranty Maria.

Although they had previously collaborated, Ranty feels that Seharum Cinta Melati provides a greater opportunity to explore their roles together with Cinta. The actress born in 1999 admitted that she was not completely satisfied with their role interactions in the previous project.

"At that time, personally I wasn't satisfied to have, what do you call it, a role together with Cinta," she revealed.

Therefore, the opportunity to act together again in this soap opera is maximized by both of them to build a stronger connection. According to Ranty, this project serves as a platform for them to become more solid as a couple on screen.

"So it just so happens that we are brought together again here. So we can be more solid, more compact, and build chemistry again," she added.

Their closeness is also fostered through jokes and light interactions on set, which show how comfortable they are working together. Cinta Brian even joked that Ranty had taught him acting techniques in the past.   "Actually, since we started working together, we've known each other for a long time. Ranty has always been nice and welcoming. She used to teach me acting too," said Cinta.

Of course, the statement was met with laughter by Ranty Maria, who jokingly denied ever being an acting teacher to her co-star. Light interactions like this prove that their friendship is the main asset in creating a solid performance.   "When did I teach you acting? Am I an acting teacher?" Ranty replied while laughing.
