The wedding ceremony of Rasyid and Tamara was held with Palembang customs. One of the witnesses to the marriage was President SBY.
To propose to Tamara, Rasyid provided a dowry of 5 ancient Ringgit gold coins weighing 166.49 grams. Additionally, Rasyid also gave a set of prayer tools to the niece of Jusuf Kalla.
After the akad ceremony, Tamara and Rasyid continued with the traditional Palembang procession. Previously, they exchanged wedding rings as a sign that they were married.
Tamara, who comes from Bugis, performed the Pagar Pengantin dance which is one of the traditional events of the Palembang bride. She danced so gracefully and fluidly.
The accessories and bridal kebaya were also very beautiful, featuring stunning details and mesmerizing woven songket. Tamara's appearance at her wedding ceremony was truly captivating.
