The Next Influencer Contestant Wants to Go Home, Ivan Gunawan Admits Disliking Weak Mentality

Interestingly, just a few days into the quarantine, one contestant named Aldy wants to go back to his hometown. The participant from Medan feels mentally unprepared to participate in The Next Influencer. His reason is that Aldy cannot be far away from his parents.

"I miss home because I've never been separated from my parents. This is the first time I've been apart for two weeks. It's definitely sad, and I want to go home because I feel mentally unprepared. It's like my body is here, but my soul is in Medan," said Aldy at the ANTV studio, Epicentrum, South Jakarta, on Friday (15/1/2021).

1. Don't Like Weak Participants

As a judge on The Next Influencer, Ivan Gunawan honestly stated that he doesn't like participants who have weak mentality and easily give up.

"I don't really like those who are weak, whiny, I'm not used to it. I usually deal with strong-minded people, so when I see someone like that, it annoys me," said Ivan Gunawan.

2. Ready to Undergo Quarantine

Participants of The Next Influencer should be ready to undergo quarantine during the competition. Moreover, it is their decision to participate in the event. If they cannot follow the competition rules, they shouldn't have joined in the first place.

"If they have made a decision, they should follow through with it. If they can't, then they shouldn't have joined in the first place. It has been clear from the beginning how long the event will last, how many people will participate, and the need for quarantine. A competition with a quarantine concept is not just a one-time thing," he said.

3. Classic Reasons

The classic reason, participants who want to go home from The Next Influencer event because they cannot be far from their parents. Seeing this, Ivan Gunawan said, not only one participant is far from their parents because they participate in the event.

"Well, not to mention Aldy, I also don't meet my mother every day, but we have communication and all of that is a choice, work is a choice, how do you want your work to be," said Ivan Gunawan.

4. Must Prepare Strong Mental

For Ivan Gunawan, every participant in every competition must prepare strong mental. If the participant's mental is weak, they will automatically be easily eliminated from The Next Influencer event.

(Mental) Yes, definitely, because when they enter quarantine, their mental and ego can be seen. (If they are not mentally strong) Their lifespan won't be long, it seems like they will be eliminated tonight," Ivan Gunawan concluded.
