The Perpetrator Who Edited Betrand Peto's Photo into an Animal Allegedly Still Underage

Kapanlagi.com - Some time ago, there was a commotion when several social media accounts edited the photo of Ruben Onsu's adopted child Ruben Onsu, namely Betrand Peto, with an animal face. Not accepting the bullying of his child, Ruben Onsu has reported the account owner through his brother, Jordi Onsu, at the Jakarta Metro Police in November 2019.

This case is still ongoing and has entered the witness examination stage. Today, Wednesday (15/1), Betrand Peto's management responded to the summons from the authorities as witnesses in the cyber bullying case.

"We just want to fulfill the invitation for clarification regarding the bullying report against Betrand. That (the case) is still ongoing," said Lena Simanjuntak, the legal team for Ruben Onsu.

1. Hand Over to Investigator

Betrand Peto's management team and legal counsel are still unable to speak much as the investigators still need to gather some evidence from the witnesses.

"The questions asked are only about the chronology and where the information comes from, that's it. Next, we are waiting for the investigator because they are still calling other witnesses first, and then the investigator will inform us. We haven't provided any information yet because the investigator hasn't reached any conclusions," said Lena Simanjuntak.

2. Suspected Perpetrator Still Underage?

However, it is suspected that the perpetrator is still a child and underage. And so far, Ruben's legal team is still unwilling to talk much about the perpetrator.

"But when it comes to the perpetrator, we can't provide any information yet. It's still being kept because we're still looking for evidence from the witnesses. The perpetrator is still a child, still underage. Probably (under 17 years old)," she concluded.
