The Reason Aurelie Moeremans Gives Away the E-Book 'Broken Strings', Doesn't Want to Sell Trauma

The beautiful actress Aurelie Moeremans has recently become a hot topic after releasing a book titled Broken Strings. Uniquely, at a time when many people chase material gain, Aurelie chose to release the e-book version of her work for free before eventually deciding to go to print.

Aurelie explained that her main intention from the beginning was not to seek commercial profit. She wants to ensure that her life story can reach those who truly need encouragement without being hindered by costs.

"Because from the beginning my goal was not commercial. I want the story to be accessible to anyone who needs it, without barriers. I know many are curious but also many truly need this reading to feel not alone. I am still preparing a physical book, but the free e-book is the initial intention of this book," said Aurelie Moeremans when contacted on Wednesday (14/1/2026).

The decision to release a physical version or print run only came later. This happened after she saw the enthusiasm and great public need to have the book in physical form as a collection or personal reference.

"Initially there was no commercial intent at all. I even released the ebook for free because honestly I don't want to give the impression of 'selling trauma'. My focus is only one, to ensure this story reaches people who might be experiencing similar things and feel alone," she explained further.

She realizes that physical books have their own value for readers. Many parents want to give this book to their children so that communication within the family can be better established in the future.

"The decision to print a new edition only came after seeing its impact. After seeing how many people want to keep this book, read it slowly, and give it to their children or parents. That’s when I realized that the physical version is not about selling, but about sustainability and broader access," she said.

Through this book, Aurelie hopes that no one else will feel isolated when facing similar past wounds. She wants Broken Strings to be a bridge of empathy for others who are struggling to recover from trauma.

"The writing process was actually quite long. The story has been stored in my mind and heart for years, but I wrote it intensively over a few months. I wrote slowly, one by one, because I wanted each part to be written honestly and carefully, not just quickly finished," concluded Aurelie Moeremans.
