The news regarding the freedom of Tubagus Joddy after serving four years in prison following the accident that claimed the lives of Vanessa Angel and Bibi Andriansyah,
has once again drawn public attention. Fuji, who is a family member of the couple, provided her response to this situation.
"Well, regarding that issue, I have answered from the beginning that thankfully that issue is resolved and there are no more problems," said Fuji when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (25/9/2024).
"Actually, there is no problem between Joddy and me," Fuji added.
Fuji has been trying to separate her personal relationship from the incident. This is an important step in the emotional healing process.
Fuji recalled the crucial moment before the court's decision. "Before the court's ruling, it was about a few days after the incident, his father came to me, at that time his father apologized because his son caused an accident and I had already forgiven him."
Even though she had forgiven him, Fuji admitted to feeling confused when facing Joddy at certain times. "So it’s clear, it’s over, there’s no problem, that’s why when he came yesterday I was confused because he had already apologized," she said.
This shows that even though there are good intentions, situations can become complicated. One thing is for sure, Fuji does not want to meet Joddy again because he does not want old memories to resurface.
"It's just that in the current condition, I don't want to meet, that's all, because it will reopen old wounds," he asserted.
When asked how he deals with his feelings, Fuji acknowledged the importance of keeping distance. "As for the issue from a few days after the incident, his father already apologized," he explained.
