The Song 'Nuansa Bening' Version by Vidi Aldiano Disappears from Spotify, Keenan Nasution's Side Claims It's Not a Problem

Kapanlagi.com - The song Nuansa Bening version by Vidi Aldiano is no longer available on the digital music platform Spotify. Currently, the public can only listen to the original version of the song performed by Keenan Nasution.

Keenan Nasution's attorney, Minola Sebayang, responded to the disappearance of Vidi's version from Spotify by stating that this action could be interpreted as an acknowledgment of wrongdoing. According to him, if the party who uploaded it feels they are right, the song should not have been removed.

"Well, it's not a problem, it means this, if they feel they are right, why take it down from Spotify," said Minola when met at the Central Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (11/6/2025).

1. Considered Indeed Problematic

Minola stated that if someone feels they have legal rights over the work, then they should not be afraid to defend it. He believes that the removal is actually a sign that the upload of the song was indeed problematic beforehand.

"If they feel they have the proper authority under the law, why should it be revoked, why should it be taken down, just keep using it, that's the first thing," he said.

He also mentioned the inconsistent attitude of those who previously denied copyright infringement but then withdrew the content. In Minola's view, that action speaks louder than verbal denials.

2. Does Not Erase Allegations

"That shows that there is indeed a mistake that they acknowledge even though they deny it," he said.

Furthermore, Minola stated that even though the version of the song by Vidi has been withdrawn, it does not automatically erase the allegations of infringement that have existed. He emphasized that the song has been enjoyed by the public for years on digital platforms.

"Secondly, even if it is taken down today, does that erase their mistakes over 16 years or since they uploaded it to Spotify? No, if they are indeed gentlemen, they shouldn't remove it," he asserted.

3. No Response Given

When asked about Keenan Nasution's response regarding the removal of the Vidi version of the song, Minola stated that the musician did not react excessively. In fact, according to him, Keenan's silence serves as an indication that there is an awareness from the other party about the mistake.

"There was no response at all, which means it's an acknowledgment that he is not worthy of uploading that on Spotify, exploiting it digitally because there is indeed a mistake that hasn't been cleared up," explained Minola.
