The Story of Aris Kurniawan When His Tofu Meatball Stall Was 'Played' by People, Suddenly Disappeared

Experiencing ups and downs while starting a business is common, but what the colossal actor Aris Kurniawan faced while building his culinary business was truly beyond reason.

The actor Aji Basa Pamungkas in the soap opera Misteri Gunung Merapi shares an unforgettable experience that is strongly suspected to be related to mystical occurrences when he first opened his tofu meatball stall.

Initially, his business was running smoothly and there were many customers, but oddities began to occur when he moved the location of his cart even just a little. He recounts how his stall, which was once busy, suddenly became quiet without any clear reason.

"So we have several places that we have opened before, which indeed have several factors but we don't want to be negative. But we experienced it ourselves, we once opened a place that was initially crowded, and then after moving to another location, it was no longer there, like a free fall," said Aris Kurniawan while chatting with Kapanlagi.com, Monday (4/8/2025).

The oddness became more apparent when many friends and even the filming crew who intended to stop by could not find the kiosk at all. The actor, who is affectionately called Aris, recounted how his friends, who were right in front of the location, called and said that the kiosk was not visible or closed, even though he was there.

"For one title, we automatically ask directly, we ask directly. 'Bro, seriously? I'm here, you know'. 'Seriously Ris, I passed by, that's why I called'. 'Yeah, I'm waiting for you'. The car is also not visible to me," he said.

Not only 'made invisible', Aris also found several strange objects that should not be in his kiosk area. This experience made him start to believe that something was wrong with his business.

"Indeed, at some point during that incident, we found some dirt or animals that shouldn't be there but somehow were, which really shouldn't be, and we shouldn't do that on the street, as we don't want to be suspicious, right? There used to be rice, yes, inside, in that kiosk area, there was soil," he explained.

The peak of these strange occurrences was when the entire crew from a soap opera title that wanted to buy his goods, all together could not see the existence of his kiosk. After a series of odd events, Aris finally decided to close his kiosk and take his cart home."In the end, I decided to go home. I took my cart home," he said.

A 'miracle' happened after he cleaned his cart by himself at home. This action star recounted how the process of washing the cart felt very heavy and hot, as if he were cleaning something invisible.

"But it's strange, washing this small cart feels like it beats washing two cars. Confusing, right? It feels hot, heavy, like that. But we just forced ourselves to wash it clean," he said.

Strangely, after he cleaned the cart, customers who had previously been unable to find his stall suddenly came one after another directly to his house. As if the 'barrier' that had covered his business all this time had vanished.

"It's not open yet. Eh, someone came to the house. 'Uncle, do you know if the meatballs are available? Is it open at home now? Can I buy some?' like that. It's like, like being splashed with heavenly water, I guess, sles like that," he said.
