The Success Story of Putra Siregar, Who Used to Be a Shoe Polisher and Street Musician

Kapanlagi.com - Many people may not have expected that Putra Siregar, the owner of the slogan 'Hp Pejabat Harga Merakyat' (Mobile Phones for Public Officials at Affordable Prices), had experienced difficult times in his life. When he was young, Putra Siregar used to work as a shoe polisher and a street musician. He also grew up without the love and care of his parents.

When met in the Condet area, East Jakarta recently, the 27-year-old man shared a little bit about his life journey. Apparently, Putra is the eldest of three siblings.

"I was born in the city of Medan, I have two younger siblings, a sister and a brother. I didn't live with my family from a young age, I lived on the streets, polishing shoes and playing music," said Putra Siregar.

1. Always Class Champion

Not only living on the streets, Putra Siregar admitted that he often endured hunger because he had no one and no money. However, during school, it turns out that behind Putra's shortcomings, he was an intelligent child.

"I used to endure hunger a lot, but I was given something special from Allah, so when I was in school, I always became the champion," he said.

2. Reflecting on Past Difficulties

Because of experiencing a bitter childhood, Putra Siregar was determined to become a successful person so that he could help others not to experience what he had experienced before. Now, it is proven that Putra is indeed a person who never expects anything in return when giving.

"Nowadays, I often give, not because I am rich, because until this moment, I never feel rich. So why do I give? Since I was hungry before, when I had to pay my school fees, I really wanted someone to help me," he said.

"But that person didn't exist, well there was my teacher because I was ashamed to not go to school, so eventually my school fees were paid by him. When I became the class leader, I helped him enough. I can also lead a company because my character was formed since I was young," he concluded.
