This is Davina Karamoy's Process When Deciding to Convert to Islam, Starting from Sickness and Reading Surah Al Isra

Davina shared that when she was sick, her mother, who is a Muslim, gave her Surah Al Isra. That Surah is always read by her mother after Fajr prayer. Davina admitted that at that time she couldn't read Arabic letters, but she followed her mother's recitation.

"At that time, I was nonis, mama gave me Surah Al Isra verses 44-48. I couldn't read (Arabic) letters or anything. I had a high fever of 41 degrees, couldn't eat, and so weak," she shared on the Pagi Pagi Ambyar show, in the Transmedia area, South Jakarta, some time ago.

1. Feeling the Change when Reading Al Isra

Davina said that after reading Surah Al Isra, she felt a change. Her body, which previously couldn't move and was in pain, gradually improved. That moment became the beginning for Davina to decide to convert and embrace Islam.

"My mother is a Muslim, she gave me verses from Al Isra verses 44-46 and she said it's a fortress letter, told me to read it. Coincidentally, I was still a Christian, so I just read the Latin version," she continued.

2. Convert Since High School

Davina admitted that her spiritual journey made her determined to embrace Islam. She no longer seeks her identity and decided to embrace Islam after receiving guidance when she was sick.

"Actually, I converted, since I was in high school, maybe in 2nd or 3rd grade," said Davina Karamoy in the Kebayoran Baru area of South Jakarta, recently.

3. Familiar with Memorizing Short Surahs

Davina also revealed that before converting to Islam, she had learned how to perform prayers when she was still a Christian. She admitted that after memorizing short surahs like Al Ikhlas, An-Nas, and Al Falaq, she officially became a Muslim.

After converting to Islam, Davina prayed for her career to be successful, and since then, many of her prayers have been answered. Davina Karamoy serves as an inspirational example for many people who want to change their beliefs and embrace Islam.

4. Parents' Response

As is known, Davina Karamoy's father is a Christian, while her mother is a Muslim. Since childhood, Davina has been accustomed to the differences. It seems that her father continues to support Davina as a convert.

Her spiritual journey shows that a change in belief can occur in times of illness and difficulty, and that prayer and faith can help overcome life's challenges.
