Maia Estianty expressed her frustration over Mey Chan's decision to change her stage name to Dita. That name had already become her trademark.
For KLovers who may not know, Mey Chan's real name is Dita Anggraeni. It was Bunda Maia who gave the stage name to her duet partner.
"I just get annoyed with her, she was already doing well with the name Mey Chan, then changed it back to Dita," Maia said as quoted from YouTube MAIA ALELDUL TV. "Who is Dita anyway? In the end, now the name is gone," Maia continued. Mey Chan laughed upon hearing Maia Estianty's heartfelt expression. Apparently, there is a reason why Mey Chan decided on that.

"Because my real name is Dita and my mom is sick, she keeps calling me Dita, Dita, Dita," said Mey Chan in 2018, as reported by Kompascom. "I was like, ah, I want to go back to my real name. That made me more determined (to choose the name Dita) and management also suggested to change the image," she continued.
