"Because my real name is Dita and my mom is sick, she keeps calling me Dita, Dita, Dita," said Mey Chan in 2018, as reported by Kompascom. "I was like, ah, I want to go back to my real name. That made me more determined (to choose the name Dita) and management also suggested to change the image," she continued.
