Kapanlagi.com - Actress Titi Kamal is once again exploring the horror genre through the film PERUMAHAN LADDALAND produced by MD Pictures, which is scheduled to be released on August 13, 2026. Adapted from the Thai horror film of the same name, the 44-year-old actress admits to having a special connection with the mystical world.
It turns out that Titi's fondness for horror-related things started while she was still in high school. She even confessed to often spending time with her friends hunting for locations believed to be haunted.
"Oh yes, yes, since I was little. So like for example, in high school sometimes with friends we would go out at 3 AM to look for ghosts," said Titi Kamal when met at MD Place, South Jakarta, on Monday (13/7/2026).
This hobby continues to this day. In between her busy shooting schedule, Titi admits to often visiting empty buildings or locations known to have mystical stories with her horror-loving community.
"Because I really love horror, I enjoy hunting for horror mysteries and I also have friends who love horror too," she said.
According to Titi, her curiosity often leads her to visit various abandoned places that are believed to hold mystical stories.
"In housing areas, there are also old houses that are like the abandoned ones," she revealed.
In Laddaland Housing, Titi plays a mother who must face mysterious terror after moving into a new house. She mentions that this film not only relies on jump scares but is also wrapped in a strong family drama, which presents its own challenges in acting.
"Yes, from start to finish there are many jump scares and the drama is very strong, the drama is also thick so I am challenged to act. The emotional escalation has to be just right," she concluded.
