Having a grandchild has made Mieke Amalia, the wife of Tora Sudiro, start thinking ahead, especially about old age and retirement. This member of the The Prediksi gang, known for his hobby of collecting big motorcycles, admits he is starting to curb his desire to add to his collection and is instead beginning to sell some of his motorcycles.

Tora realizes that his career in the entertainment world will not always be bright. The emergence of new talents has made competition increasingly tight, so he feels the need to prepare savings for his old age.

"This means that retirement is just around the corner. Soon I have to prepare savings for retirement later. If I already have grandchildren, at least we have to save for the future, in case suddenly my father is 70, for example, and there’s no one offering shooting jobs," he said when met at MD Place, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Monday (15/12/2025).

To realize his retirement plan, Tora is willing to part with some of his beloved motorcycle collection. He mentioned that there are currently only a few motorcycles left in his garage compared to before.

"I don't have many motorcycles now. Just one big Harley and one BMW. That's it. The rest are Vespas. I sold quite a few, maybe five," explained Tora.

Interestingly, Tora humorously mentioned that it is his wife, Mieke Amalia, who plays a role in selling those motorcycles. He even joked about telling his wife to work harder in soap operas so that their savings would increase.

"Mieke sells my motorcycle. I sell myself. I tell my wife to just do a lot of soap operas. So that the money is plenty. Her money. So the savings come from her money like that," he joked while laughing heartily.

Although there are concerns about regeneration in the entertainment world, Tora admitted that he does not feel overly afraid. He considers it a natural law that is bound to happen.

"I'm not worried. That's the law of nature. The world, especially entertainment, is always evolving. There will always be something new, something new. There will definitely be those who surpass us," he concluded wisely.
