Having a grandchild has made the husband of Mieke Amalia, Tora Sudiro think far ahead, especially about old age and retirement. This member of the The Prediksi gang, known for his hobby of collecting big motorcycles, admits he is starting to curb his desire to add to his collection and is instead beginning to sell some of his motorcycles.

Tora realizes that his career in the entertainment world will not always be bright. The emergence of new talents has made competition increasingly fierce, so he feels the need to prepare savings for his old age.

"This means that retirement is just around the corner. Soon I have to prepare savings for retirement later. Once I have grandchildren, at the very least we have to save for the future, in case suddenly my father is 70 years old, for example, and there’s no one offering him a shooting job," he said when met at MD Place, Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Monday (15/12/2025).

To realize his retirement plan, Tora is willing to let go of some of his beloved motorcycle collection. He mentioned that currently, there are only a few motorcycles left in his garage compared to before.

"I don’t have many motorcycles now. I only have one big Harley and one BMW. That’s it. The rest are Vespas. There are quite a few that I sold, maybe five," Tora explained.

Interestingly, Tora humorously mentions that it is his wife, Mieke Amalia, who plays a role in selling those motorcycles. He even jokingly tells his wife to work harder in soap operas so that their savings increase.

"Mieke sells my motorcycle. I sell myself. I tell my wife to do more soap operas. So that the money increases. Her money. So the savings come from her money like that," he joked while laughing heartily.

Although there are concerns about regeneration in the entertainment world, Tora admits he does not feel overly afraid. He considers it a natural law that is bound to happen.

"I’m not worried. That’s natural law. The world, especially entertainment, will always develop. There will always be something new, something new again. There will definitely be someone who surpasses us," he concluded wisely.
