The warm atmosphere on the 5th birthday of Gala Sky Andriansyah on Monday (14/7/2025) left another story from the family of the late Vanessa Angel. Mayang Lucyana, the aunt, had to swallow her disappointment because she could not attend her nephew's special moment.
This polemic has reignited the tensions between the two families that had previously been strained. Mayang, who was met in the Mampang area of South Jakarta some time ago, openly shared the chronology behind her absence.
This daughter of Doddy Sudrajat admitted that she has tried to make time amidst her busy schedule. She even cleared her college schedule, internship, and singing job to celebrate Gala's anniversary.
"Actually, if I don't come, it's not really an excuse, because I have my own busyness too, and I think I'm just looking for the right moment, and this is it, during Gala's birthday moment," Mayang revealed.
"So I have prepared, set aside my time yesterday to clear my schedule as well. Like, okay, I want to attend Gala's birthday. But unexpectedly, it turns out I cannot or am not able to attend," Mayang continued.
One of the reasons is a miscommunication. Mayang thought that Gala's birthday celebration would be held in Bali, but it turns out the big event was held in the Kemang area of Jakarta.
"It's just a miscommunication, maybe I thought that after this birthday party, Gala and Mrs. Dewi and the whole family would go on vacation to Bali to celebrate Gala's birthday, but it's okay," she said.
Even so, she emphasized that she did not hold any disappointment over the miscommunication. Ultimately, Mayang confirmed that she and her father did not receive an official invitation from Haji Faisal's family, just like in previous years."Yes, because they really didn't invite us, just like in previous years, they usually don't invite us," she explained.
In the end, Mayang chose to send a gift to her nephew through an online motorcycle taxi service, as a token of her affection on Gala Sky's happy day.
