Usually Playing Antagonistic Characters, Now Angela Gilsha Has to Play a Suffering Goddess in 'DEWI RINDU'

This soap opera not only offers a fresh new story but also features many young actresses and actors. One of those involved is Angela Gilsha. She plays the character Dewi, the main character.

Apparently, playing Dewi is a challenge for Angela. Because, she is usually trusted to play antagonistic characters. This was revealed in a virtual interview on Thursday (9/12).

"Yes, usually I play the antagonist and always the mistress. This is very challenging because it's the first time I have a role that raises a child without a father," she explained.

1. Single Mom

Angela added, Dewi is not only a single parent but also conflicts with her own family. Her life is full of trials.

"So basically Dewi is a single mom. The struggle of a single parent, facing calamities, being kicked out of her parents' house and going to Banyuwangi to raise her child alone, because of that problem she fought alone," added Angela.

2. Rebellious Side

In addition to being strong and resilient, Dewi is also a rebellious person. That becomes another aspect that colors her character.

"But Rindu has a different nature compared to other children, a bit rebellious, Rindu dares to oppose her mother which is normal because she grew up without a father, she is a smart but somewhat naughty child," concluded Angela.
