Uya Kuya Denies Accusations of Abandoning His Cat

Kapanlagi.com - The unfortunate incident of looting that befell Uya Kuya has turned into a lengthy aftermath. In addition to facing material losses and trauma, he now also has to combat negative rumors accusing him of abandoning his pet cats after the incident.

Feeling that the accusations are baseless and cornering, Uya Kuya finally spoke out. He expressed regret that there are parties intentionally "cooking up" this issue to exploit the situation.

"If you look outside, those who are sensationalizing it with negative news, I also don’t want to continue or report it in any way," said Uya when met at the East Jakarta Metro Police, Saturday (12/9/2025).

Uya Kuya suspects that there are parties intentionally trying to seek attention from the misfortune he experienced.

"I know there might be people who want to provoke some excitement, take advantage of this news, say anything about me, well, it's up to them," he said.

2. Denial of Animal Neglect

Uya firmly denies having neglected his beloved pets. As concrete evidence, he points to the physical condition of his cats that have successfully returned to his embrace.

"There’s nothing wrong, they are all healthy, and you can see the cats that have come back, they are all fat," he explained.

He added that the people close to him and the professionals who help him care for the animals know well of his commitment.

"The people who know me, the doctor who takes care of my cats, know how well I take care of my cats," he asserted.

Uya indeed acknowledged that one of his cats had a cold after the incident, but he assured that the cat has received treatment and is now recovered.

"The sick cat had a cold, the one with me has recovered," he added.

5. Cats That Have Not Been Found

Behind his clarification, Uya Kuya still harbors great concern. Three of his cats, including one named Ken and Sora, are still missing until now.

"The three have not been heard from, so there are Ken, Sora, not a word at all," he said.

6. Perpetrators of the Looting Apprehended

Uya Kuya also confirmed that the police have successfully apprehended two individuals suspected of being the perpetrators in the looting incident that affected his residence.

"So there has been an incident where the police arrested two perpetrators," revealed Uya Kuya.

7. Post-Robbery Losses

Although the perpetrators have been apprehended, Uya admitted that he has not been able to detail the total losses he has suffered. He explained that his busy schedule has prevented him from returning home to check the condition thoroughly.

"Update on the robbery, I don't know yet, because I haven't focused on that, until now there hasn't been any report at all, when asked about the losses, I haven't been home yet," he said.
