Vadel Badjideh's Detention Extended by 40 Days

Kapanlagi.com - Vadel Badjideh is still serving his detention at the South Jakarta Police after being named a suspect in a case of alleged abortion and sexual intercourse.

After 20 days in detention, the police extended his detention for another 40 days. This decision has caused disappointment for the family.

"Yes, there was some disappointment, but we still have to go through the legal process. The police have also added 40 days, and we are still trying to seek a suspension," said Bintang, Vadel's brother, at the South Jakarta Police, Tuesday (3/4/2025).

1. Resigned and Follow the Legal Process

Bintang stated that his brother can only resign to that decision and follow the ongoing legal process.

"He is sincere, just following the process that is already at the Police," he said.

2. Continue to Observe Fasting

In the midst of the challenges he faces, Vadel continues to observe fasting during Ramadan. However, he feels a loss of moments spent with family.

"He just misses breaking the fast together. If it's for sahur, he misses Mom," said Bintang.

3. Vadel's Condition is More Calm

According to Bintang, his brother's condition is now calmer compared to before. Vadel has started to adapt to the situation in detention.

"His fasting is going well, thank God, he is more calm now," he said.

4. Family Always Provides Support

On Tuesday (3/4/2025), the family visited Vadel at the South Jakarta Police Station. During the visit, they chatted and inquired about his condition while in detention. In addition to providing moral support, the family also brought food for Vadel.

"Earlier, we brought his usual break-fast food, just his favorite nata de coco," said Bintang.
