Vanessa Angel's Past Post, Atta Halilintar Contacts Haji Faisal to Explain No Intent to Offend

The post contained phrases "marrying without parental consent" and "pregnant first" and mentioned the name "Vanessa". The post then received negative comments from netizens.

To prevent the issue from escalating, Atta contacted Haji Faisal for clarification. This was confirmed by Haji Faisal. The man stated that Aurel Hermansyah's husband had provided an explanation regarding his post that was not intended to offend or belittle.

"Yes, yesterday Atta WhatsApped me to discuss his content. Essentially, he did not intend to offend or belittle my family or the deceased," said Haji Faisal when met at his residence in West Jakarta, Saturday (17/8).

In an investigation by KapanLagi.com, it was found that the post originated from one of the netizen's responses that he was aware of. Considering the late Vanessa was regarded as a good friend by Atta, the husband of Aurel invited his followers to pray for the best for Vanessa, Haji Faisal, Gala, and even Fuji.

Although Atta admitted that the purpose of reposting was to remind netizens not to bring up bad things about others in the past, the post was already viewed negatively by netizens who thought Atta was spreading bad things about the deceased.

2. Admit Speculating Atta's Intentions

Before being contacted, of course Haji Faisal speculated about Atta Halilintar's intentions in making the post on Instagram Story. However, after listening to the explanation directly, Haji Faisal tried to understand.

"With such discussions, I no longer speculate. Because I was thinking why this and why that. After he explained, I understood that his intentions were actually good. But some also considered it not quite right," said Haji Faisal.

Furthermore, Haji Faisal admitted that he had ignored WhatsApp messages from Atta Halilintar because he thought it was a prank. However, after the third chat, Haji Faisal finally responded by calling, and it turned out to be Atta's personal number.

"So I received three WhatsApp messages yesterday. I doubted whether this was really Atta because I didn't have his contact. That's why I didn't respond at first," said Haji Faisal.

"Initially, I received a WhatsApp at night and I didn't answer it. Then the next morning, I received another WhatsApp and didn't answer it. The day after, I read the third one. Is this really Atta? Then I tried to call him, and it was Atta," concluded Haji Faisal.

Atta Halilintar immediately contacted Haji Faisal regarding the commotion that occurred. He reached out via WhatsApp first. Atta also uploaded proof of the WhatsApp chat with Haji Faisal on his Instagram story.
