According to information from the South Jakarta Religious Court, although the judge has declared their status as divorced, both are still registered as husband and wife because no official action has been taken to resolve the marriage.

"In religious court, when a husband files for divorce, there are consequences that must be fulfilled, such as the payment of mut'ah, iddah, and madhiyah alimony. At that time, the court's decision stipulated that the plaintiff must pay Rp 60 million," explained Venna Melinda quoted from the YouTube channel, Tuesday (13/8/2024).

1. Not Paid Rp 60 Million

It is known that there has been no payment of Rp 60 million. This has caused the divorce process to not proceed smoothly.

"At that time, I did not understand the mechanism and thought this matter was settled. However, because the payment has not been made, the divorce process is left hanging," she said.

2. Ferry Has Not Made the Talak Pledge

Venna stated that Ferry has not made the talak pledge, which is one of the requirements to officially declare the divorce.

"Because there has been no talak pledge, usually there is a duration of 6 months from November 30 or the end of the divorce trial. If there is no clarity, then the status will automatically lapse," she said.

3. Venna Plans to File a Counter Divorce

Venna Melinda plans to file a counter divorce against Ferry Irawan after realizing that their marriage status is still valid in the eyes of the law, even though Ferry filed for divorce first.

"Since the duration has passed, I will be the one to file for divorce. I leave it to my lawyer, Sandi Arifin, to handle it," asserted Venna Melinda.

4. Have Made a Round Decision

Venna stated that she feels the need to file a counter lawsuit, especially regarding alimony issues, after attending the divorce hearing filed by Ferry.

She also emphasized that the decision to file for a counter divorce was made after one year of their marriage status hanging, and she wants to resolve this issue legally.
