Venna Melinda Will Soon Counter Sue Ferry Irawan for Divorce

Although they were divorced on August 3, 2023, Ferry has not yet recited the divorce decree, which is Venna's main reason for filing another divorce suit at the South Jakarta Religious Court.

Venna revealed that she does not know the reason behind Ferry's absence in reading the divorce pledge. She stated that at that time she was undergoing a campaign and could not attend the court.

Venna emphasized that their relationship has ended, and she hopes there is no resentment between them. She stated that she has forgiven Ferry and wants to be on good terms if they meet in the future.

2. Need to File for Divorce Again

According to her, the time to read the divorce pledge has passed, so she feels the need to file for divorce again. The draft of the divorce lawsuit is currently being prepared by Venna's lawyer, Sandy Arifin.

3. Still Registered as Husband and Wife

According to information from the South Jakarta Religious Court, even though the judge has declared their status as divorced, both are still registered as husband and wife because no official action has been taken to finalize the marriage.

"In the religious court, when the husband files for divorce, there are consequences that must be fulfilled, such as the payment of mut'ah iddah and madhiyah. At that time, the court's decision stated that the plaintiff must pay Rp 60 million," explained Venna Melinda as quoted from a YouTube channel, Tuesday (13/8/2024).

4. Has Not Paid Rp 60 Million

It is known that there has been no payment of Rp 60 million. This has resulted in the divorce process still not proceeding smoothly.

"At that time, I did not understand the mechanism and thought this matter was settled. However, because the payment has not been made, the divorce process remains pending," she said.
