For the Second Time Serving as a Member of the Jakarta DPRD, Tina Toon Acknowledges the Heavy Burden She Must Bear Again

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Tina Toon has once again gained the trust of the public to serve as a representative as a member of the Jakarta DPRD. This is Tina's second time becoming a member of the DPRD after receiving a significant number of votes in the 2024-2029 elections.

For Tina Toon, the inauguration is just a celebration. According to her, what matters most is how she can represent the aspirations of the people to be discussed in the legislature.

"It feels different now, yes this is a responsibility in consistency as a representative of the people," said Tina Toon when met in the Kebon Siri area, Central Jakarta, on Monday (26/8).

1. Not Easy

Not only that, Tina assesses that serving as a representative in the ranks of the DPRD is not an easy task. There is a burden she bears in carrying out her duties for the next five years.

"With this being the second period, the expectations of the people have increased, and that is a burden for me. But it also serves as motivation and enthusiasm," she said.

In addition, the woman whose full name is Agustina Hermanto feels that her duties as a member of the Jakarta DPRD from five years ago are still not finished. She explained that there are still many aspirations of the people that she has yet to fulfill.

2. Will Implement Several Priorities

Therefore, this period Tina will implement several priorities, such as finding solutions to flooding and infrastructure issues in Jakarta, including social and educational matters. "Yesterday we agreed on free private schools so that the community can receive equal education," she explained.

"That is where there is still a lot of struggle, like flooding and roads are already in progress but not everything is done, it’s gradual. Some are improving while others are being fixed," she added.
